You’ll Fall in Love with Data or Your Money Back

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Hate working with data because you can’t seem to make sense of it? We’ll talk about how we learned to love datasets and the stories it’s helped us find. We’ll walk you step-by-step through a free tool called Google Refine, which makes analyzing data fun, saves you hours of reporting time, and will make you a hero in the newsroom. Attendees will take away a basic understanding of how to download a spreadsheet, clean up misspellings and other messy data, and do simple analysis like counting and sorting.
